Bittersweet by Sarah Ockler

Blurb: Once upon a time, Hudson knew exactly what her future looked like. Then a betrayal changed her life, and knocked her dreams to the ground. Now she’s a girl who doesn’t believe in second chances… a girl who stays under the radar by baking cupcakes at her mom’s diner and obsessing over what might have been.
So when things start looking up and she has another shot at her dreams, Hudson is equal parts hopeful and terrified. Of course, this is also the moment a cute, sweet guy walks into her life…and starts serving up some seriously mixed signals. She’s got a lot on her plate, and for a girl who’s been burned before, risking it all is easier said than done.
It’s time for Hudson to ask herself what she really wants, and how much she’s willing to sacrifice to get it. Because in a place where opportunities are fleeting, she knows this chance may very well be her last…

Review: So once I finished The Hunger Games I had nothing to read and I was sorta in a cruddy mood because I didn't have anything to read. Stupid, I know, but who cares. So I went to the library and borrowed out a whole bunch of lovey-dovey super-romantic books that sounded alright. Bittersweet was among those books. I wasn't really expecting much, I just really wanted it to be romantic and make me go 'Aw...'. But Bittersweet blew me away! The first chapter made me get really sympathetic for Hudson and from there I loved it more and more. The characters were great and the romance was exactly what I was  hoping it would be - super romantic! The storyline was really catchy and I couldn't put it down until I'd read this chapter, then the next, until eventually I finished the book in 3 days. Which was sort of disappointing cuz it was a good book. I even took extra care to take an hour to read the last chapter (even though, really, it wasn't that long) because I didn't want to finish it. So that's what I think of this book. It was good enough that I wanted to take ages to read the last chapter. And I am really glad that I read it.

Rating: LOVED IT
